All of us dream of living a good life , abundant in all aspects , rich, meaningful, and fulfilling.

Needless to say that the definition of the good life may vary from individual to individual.

Some define the good life simplistically by having name, fame , money, and loving relationships , often, health gets missed out if one is generally healthy.

Because only those realise the value of health those who are facing or have faced health challenges. It’s also said that those who don’t have health issues are facing hundreds of challenges, but those who have health issues have only one challenge to overcome.

So, a good life has so many elements to it. And those who work on and improve and achieve and succeed in all areas of life have a well-rounded holistic good life.

But still, one thing is left behind to make it complete, which is one’s spiritual growth. All success and all aspects come to naught if we do not evolve spiritually because only then we will have more love more compassion and the ability to give fearlessly and to understand the materialistic world as it should be, which is completely connected and one.

May you remember that a good life is inviting and playing host to God or the supreme energy within and not being hostage of the ego.

This can only be understood spiritually. In the vedic scriptures, the three things that help in succeeding and living a good life by shaping our reality are Manas , Sankalpa and Pratyihara.

Manas is the mind , by having positive thoughts and desires, we can influence our actions and ultimately our reality.

Sankalpa is the determination , which is consciously aligning our thoughts, words, and actions towards achieving our desires without ever giving up.

And finally, it’s Pratyihara, which is most interesting. It is one of the eight limbs of Yoga, referring to the withdrawal of the senses from external stimuli. By controlling our attention and focusing inwards, we can gain mastery over our thoughts and emotions, potentially influencing our experiences and building a good life.

May you therefore understanding this, use your Manas commit to Sankalpas and using the practice of Pratyihara , keep making your desires come true and keep living a good life by continuously enhancing abundace joy and well being in your life and your world.

The cycle of creation sustenance and destruction is an eternal truth and well explained in the vedic scriptures.

Whatever manifests has to cease to exist after a while. This does not only include the living and non-living things on earth but the entire universe itself.

As per the vedic scriptures, our human body is made up of five core elements called the Panch Mahabhuta. Prithvi , Apas, Tejas, Vayu, and Akash. Prithvi ( Earth), represents the solid and physical aspects of the body, such as bones, muscles, and tissues.

Apas( Water), governs the flow and fluidity within the body, including blood, lymph, and bodily fluids.

Tejas ( Fire) is associated with metabolism, digestion, and the internal heat of the body.

Vayu ( Air ) is responsible for breath, movement, and circulation within the body and mind and

Akash ( Ether) represents the space within the body that allows for the other elements to function and is also linked to consciousness and awareness.

The cosmos is also made up of the same elements, and after death, the human body returns to the source of these elements. The physical structure disintegrates, merging back into the earth. Water returns to the water cycle, fire to the cosmic fire, air to the atmosphere, and the subtle essence of the individual consciousness is believed to return to the universal Akash.

Now the interesting part is that cosmos and the human body share a fundamental connection through the Pancha Mahabhutas, the five elements. While these elements are building block of the human body forming the physical and subtle aspects of our being , the Mahabhutas are the cosmic principles of the cosmos.

They represent fundamental forces and energies that govern the creation, operation, and evolution of the universe. They operate on a much vaster scale, influencing aspects like gravity, the laws of physics, and the flow of energy throughout the cosmos.

In the Bhagvat Gita Sri Krishna shows the Vishwarupa to Arjuna where the entire cosmos is seen within him, including Arjuna himself.

The description of the Vishwarupa is vast and all-encompassing. It contains galaxies, stars, planets, rivers, mountains, even gods and demons – essentially everything imaginable.

This reflects the Vedic belief that the macrocosm (universe) and the microcosm (human body) are mirrors of each other, governed by the same principles and composed of the same fundamental elements.

And then there is the mention of osmosis in vishwarupa, The mention of osmosis within the Vishwarupa further deepens the connection. Osmosis refers to the flow of fluids across a semi-permeable membrane, driven by the tendency to equalize concentrations. In the context of the Vishwarupa, it could symbolize the constant exchange of energy and information between the individual and the universe.

Each breath, each thought, and every action ripples outwards, impacting the cosmic whole, while the universe in turn influences our internal state.

May you therefore remember that while after death we go back to the elements, while living we are in constant flux with the universe and are continuously exchanging energy and information.

We and cosmos are one and there is complete interconnectedness.

While showing the vishwarupa Krishna is not just showcasing his divine power; he’s offering Arjuna a glimpse into the profound truth that all beings are intricately woven into the fabric of existence, inseparable from the vast cosmic dance.

May you remember that when you are aware and entrenched in this truth , you are free of fear are unbound infinite and limitless.

Then you are the cosmos and the cosmos is you , you are everyone else and everyone else and everything else is you and this feeling of oneness guides you to do what is right and create impossible and unimaginable things and live in bliss and keep being happy joyful abundant and keep leading a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Keep having an existence entrenched in being connected and being one.

The reality of this beautiful journey of life is impermanence and interconnectedness.

We are part of a grand cyclic design, where we are participants.

Nothing belongs to us, as even the air we breathe, we need to exhale.

And when we exhale, we’re not just returning air to the atmosphere; we’re participating in the cycle of life and nature. The air we exhale contains carbon dioxide, which plants absorb during photosynthesis, creating oxygen that we, in turn, inhale again.

Along with being participants, we are temporary custodians of the material world and the things and the relationships we possess.

Nothing belongs to us permanently.

The air which we inhale is temporarily with us. It belongs to us for that particular moment, and then we need to release it. In doing this act, we for a while own it and become its momentary custodians.

This body we identify ourselves so deeply keeps changing itself , the skin renews in average 30 days. The inner lining of the stomach renews in only about two days, and it’s said that we have a new body every seven years.

Just imagine the body which we identify the most with is also not the one which we had few years earlier or will have few years hence. We are just part of a cyclic natural system and custodians of a few things temporarily.

May you therefore remember that nothing belongs to us.

And when nothing belongs to us, then there is no need to have deep attachments.

This defies common logic.

The Gita, one of the vedic scriptures , explains this in detail and encourages us to keep living in detatchnent.

We are the custodians , temporarily, whatever we have is ours , but it will go away. Some will wither faster, and some will last longer, but perish it must as that’s the natural law.

Even our challenges , obstacles , failures things which seem to be troubling us , don’t belong to us permanently, they have come to teach us , make us stronger and its a feedback that we are not doing something right.

We will ultimately either learn and grow and change or accept if it can’t be changed.

We will see newer horizons , embark on more beautiful journeys, and keep being custodians of better and bigger things, and we will keep enhancing joy abundance and well-being in our life and our world.

We must learn to keep participating in the cyclic nature of the universe and keep being custodians of bigger and better things.

Belief in interconnectedness and oneness leads to profound, rich, fulfilling and purposeful living https://divineflame.in/2023/09/02/belief-in-interconnectedness-and-oneness-leads-to-profound-rich-fulfilling-and-purposeful-living/ https://divineflame.in/2023/09/02/belief-in-interconnectedness-and-oneness-leads-to-profound-rich-fulfilling-and-purposeful-living/#respond Sat, 02 Sep 2023 03:00:37 +0000 http://divineflame.in/?p=201 A deeper and more purposeful existence may be achieved by having a profound sense of […]

A deeper and more purposeful existence may be achieved by having a profound sense of interconnectedness and oneness with the universe.

This oneness is propagated by philosophy and spirituality and validated by science.

In spirituality and philosophy, there is a higher power, which is beyond the comprehension of human faculties and the laws of nature and logical reasoning.

The eastern wisdom believes this power to be in every being and everything, that’s why in vedic culture everything is worshipped.

Modern science now has agreed and accepted that energy and matter are interchangeable and everything is made up of the same stuff .

And when everything is made up of the same stuff, then the same stuff is omnipresent and permeates all existence.

Which means that there is interconnectedness and oneness in the universe.

May you remember that when you cultivate, develop, believe and internalize this idea of interconnected and oneness you start having a very deep meaningful rich and purposeful existence,

May you also remember that both, various philosophies and science suggest that our attachment to material possessions is superficial.

We can lead more fulfilling lives by focusing less on materialism and more on inner growth, relationships, and experiences that nourish the soul.

The understanding of interconnectedness and oneness can lead to a more ethical and moral life. Individuals may be more inclined to act with kindness, fairness, and empathy, benefiting not only themselves but society as a whole.

May you thetefore live in the recognition of this interconnectedness and oneness of everything through energy.

By embracing this understanding, you can lead richer, more meaningful, and fulfilling life by fostering empathy, practicing mindfulness, caring for the environment, reducing materialism, and living ethically.

This provides a holistic framework for personal and societal well-being.

And by living in this awareness, apart from your well- being, you also keep enhancing abundance and joy in your life and your world.

May you by being anchored in the belief of interconnected and oneness keep living a deeper richer meaningful and fulfilling life.
